Probably a bit late on this. I needed a slideshow a while back and couldnt find one that suited so I hacked fltv and used image rotator by longtail video. All you need is a valid playlist file stored locally. It is done so you can easily display different slideshows on different pages or even in the same page.

I also hacked the easymedia button to work with this bot.

I have this on a Mambo site, but I'm pretty sure i tested it on a Mia one as well.

I am not a programmer but just worked out what i think does what and hacked something that already works, so if doesnt work i cant really help, sorry (plus it was a while ago).

http://alphadog.net.au/publicfiles/bot_ … _1.0.0.zip
http://alphadog.net.au/publicfiles/easy … _1.0.0.zip

in action here

http://alphadog.net.au/index.php?option … ;Itemid=85

From memory I think that I also used it to display a single image centered, as I could not do that using the wysiwyg editor

I don't know of an extensions off hand, but I haven't really spent time looking for one like this in the past either. If you can find one for MiaCMS or one for Mambo 4.6.x/Joomla 1.0.x that works right away it should be fairly simple to modify (if you are a programmer). You could always build a custom extension from scratch too. The CMS has a very powerful plugin system. If you do not program then you could always pay someone to build or modify an extension for your needs.
